SPEN (Sustainability Professionals Eindhoven Network) is the independent sustainability network for professionals and organisations in the Eindhoven region. As a foundation, we bring together sustainability experts, impact makers, and organizations to accelerate sustainable transitions—ecological, social, and governance—in the Brainport region.

We bring sustainability professionals in the Eindhoven region together to share knowledge, collaborate and energise one another. By doing so, we build a strong changemakers ecosystem that accelerates sustainable development and contributes to broad prosperity in and around Brabant.

    SPEN (Sustainability Professionals Eindhoven Network) is the sustainability network of and for professionals and organisations in the Eindhoven region.

  • Who is SPEN for?

    For sustainability professionals, impact makers, HR and sustainability managers, innovators, entrepreneurs and organisations involved in sustainability.

  • Is SPEN bilingual?

    +

    Yes. All events are open to both Dutch- and English-speaking professionals. The events are designed and facilitated as hybrid as possible.

  • How many events does SPEN organise each year?

    +

    SPEN organizes four events per year, including the annual Global Goals Jam. They also regularly organize informal get-togethers.

  • Can I become a part of SPEN as an individual?

    Yes. You can choose the Supporting Changemaker option.

  • What's the difference between a Changemaker and a Supporting Changemaker?

    +

    Supporting Changemakers support the foundation with an annual contribution (and receive perks in return, such as discounts on tickets and participation in the online community). Changemakers are on the mailing list and can, if desired, order a ticket for a specific event.

  • Can organisations let their employees participate?

    +

    Yes, they can become Friends of SPEN (Bronze, Silver, Gold). This allows companies to send one or more employees.

  • What does participation cost for an organisation or company?

    +

    Rates vary by level. A company can have 1–5 employees participate indefinitely, depending on their capabilities and preferences.

  • What makes SPEN unique?

    +

    SPEN combines professional depth, regional impact, and an energetic, safe atmosphere where changemakers inspire and empower each other. What's unique about this network is that it focuses on the professionals themselves, not on the b2b business generation (which may happen, but it's not the goal).

  • How can I become a part of SPEN?

    Thorugh the online form on the website. You'll immediately receive a personal confirmation by email. One of the board members will then contact you.

  • Is SPEN a foundation?

    +

    Yes. SPEN is an independent foundation with an ideal goal.
